The Company under the name “Auto Dermatas Paros Rentals“, based on Parikia, Paros 84400, with VAT number EL132031256, Hellenic Tourist Organization License Number (MHTE): 1175E81000115001, Tax Office of Athens (hereinafter: the “Company”) has created and manages the website www.parosrentcars.com (hereinafter: the “Website”) for the purpose of providing the service of renting a Car, Scooter, ATV or Buggy (hereinafter: the Vehicle) . The use of the Website and the services provided by us are subject to these terms, which you unconditionally accept if you use our website. The Company is entitled to unilaterally modify these terms at any given time, without the need for prior notice to the Users of its website. If you do not agree with all of these terms, please do not use the Website.

1. Driver Requirements

1.1 The driver to hiring the vehicle, should be at least 24 years old and should have a valid driving license for 1 year at least. Also, must has Greek, European or International driving license.

2. Pickup and Return:

2.1 The lessor hands over the vehicle and the vehicle key in a good condition and the lessee is obligated to hand it over in the same condition.

3. Renter’s Obligations

3.1 The lessee is responsible for checking of the vehicle before delivering it.

3.2 The lessee is obligated to pay the agreed amount, regardless of using or not the vehicle during the lease as this is defined in the contract. Prolongation or renewal of the hiring, spontaneously, from the lessee, without the permission of the company entails an increase of 50% of the daily lease and for all the days of prolongation.

3.3 The lessee is obligated to pay any compensation of fine, during the lease, which is against the Traffic Code.

3.4 The lessee must notify the company without delay in case of car accident or damage of the vehicle.

3.5 The expenses of transporting the vehicle in case of accident or damage which was caused by the lessee himself aggravates the lessee.

3.6 The lessee being responsible for an accident of damage of the vehicle, must pay to the lessor the corresponding daily amount for all days the vehicle is immobilized.

3.7 The lessee must inform the company in case of wish to deliver the vehicle in a place other than the agreement which is written in the contact.

3.8 The number of the passengers must be the right one, otherwise the hiring is partially broken and the lessee is aggravated by any damaged caused in the vehicle without having any claim of the money being refunded.

4. Prohibited Uses

During the rental period, the vehicle is prohibited from being used:

4.1 By other persons than those referred in the contract.

4.2 For driving lessons.

4.3 In violation of the terms of this agreement.

4.4 To transport passengers or goods for a fee.

4.5 To carry more passengers than the vehicle is licensed for.

4.6 To transport objects, strong-smelling goods, narcotics, or weapons.

4.7 For towing another vehicle or trailer.

4.8 In races, speed tests, or similar activities.

4.9 By any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

4.10 By any person without prior approval from the rental company.

4.11 For any use contrary to Greek law.

4.12 To drive outside Paros and Antiparos island or transport the vehicle by boat or other means without written permission from the company.

4.13 Rental vehicles are only allowed on main road networks (paved city streets, provincial roads, etc.). Regardless of vehicle category, driving on dirt roads, off-road, or similar roads is prohibited.

4.14 Driving on roads outside the main network is only permitted if local authorities force you to use alternate roads due to closures. In such cases, please adjust the vehicle’s speed to road conditions, taking care of possible hazards (potholes, bumps) that could cause significant and costly damage to the vehicle.

5. Insurance Coverage

5.1 Third-Party Liability covers the cost of repairs caused by the renter to any ‘third party’ (material damage that’s not on the rented vehicle). If the renter damages someone else’s property, this policy will cover it. It will not cover damages to the rented vehicle. This cover is included in the rental price.

5.2 C.D.W (Collision Damage Waiver) Insurance covers any accident, damage or bodily injury, caused by the lessee unless there is intention.

5.3 C.D.W (Collision Damage Waiver) Insurance doesn’t cover the lessee if the accident, damage or bodily injury was against the Traffic Code or an illegal action.

5.4 The lessee, in case of C.D.W (Collision Damage Waiver) Insurance, must pay 500€ for Class A, B , 800€ for Class C and 1200€ for the other categories if the damage accident or bodily injury is more than this amount.

5.5 C.D.W (Collision Damage Waiver) Insurance doesn’t cover damages caused underside of the car, windows, wheels, tires, interior parts and an equivalent charge will be applied. Vehicles returned with stained interior that is not cleaned with normal / common washing, client’s will be charged for 70€ plus VAT for the biological cleaning of the vehicle. Also, doesn’t cover personal belongings, lost keys, broken key switches and extras ( GPA holders etc.).

5.6 Theft Protection (TP Insurance) does not cover theft of personal belongings from the rented car and our company does not bear any responsibility for this. In case of total loss of the vehicle during the rental, the lessee is obligated to report the loss to the local authority and is obligated to return the key of the car at the office. In case that the key is not available he will be charged with the total value of the car. TP insurance costs 20,00 €/day.

5.7 With the L.W. Insurance (Tire coverage and glass breakage) the renter is fully exempted from liability for any damage to the tires or windows of the car only if he accepts and signs the relevant terms of the company’s contract and pays the amount of 20,00 €/day of rental for each car category. The main condition for the above coverage is the absence of negligence, even slight, or the commission of illegal acts during the rental of the vehicle.

6.Fuel Policy

6.1 All the vehicles are delivered with fuel level about 1/4 of the fuel tank. The renter has to return the vehicle with the same level of fuel as delivered. If the renter returns the vehicle with less level of fuel, that was delivered, the renter will be charged the fuel difference.
6.2 There is no refund if the renter returns the vehicle with more level of fuel that was delivered.
If you wish you can choose with an extra charge to pick up your vehicle with a full tank and return it with an empty tank.

7. Fleet availability

7.1 The Company reserves the right to provide a different vehicle model to the one originally reserved of an equivalent or higher model type.

8. Payments and Charges

8.1 Taxes: 24% VAT and 0.5% city tax are included in the rental rates.

8.2 Mileage: Unlimited mileage is included in our rates.

8.3 Additional Charges: In case of flat tire caused from the lessee pays 15,00 €.

8.4 Traffic violations, traffic fines, and Administrative Sanctions: The renter is liable for the payment of all traffic fines and appended administrative sanctions that may result from any violation of the Greek Traffic Law during the rental period.

9. Penalties

9.1 Motorcycles , ATVs and Buggies can carry one or two passengers at the most. In case that more passengers are tracked down, the vehicle will be taken away from the lessee and he will be fined the amount of 250,00 €.

9.2 Clients are prohibited from driving the vehicle in sand, in dirt or rough roads (full of potholes and rocks), anywhere with no roads or extremely difficult roads in general, and if they do so, they are fined the amount of 250,00 €.

9.3 Helmets are granted to clients without charge. There will be 70,00 €/helmet extra charge, in case you don’t bring it back. Straps that missing will cost 5,00 € each.

10. Road Accident

10.1 In case of a road accident, you have to inform our company immediately and also the police. The police will record the accident, and you have to get a copy of the police report. Without a police report, the renter takes full responsibility.

10.2 In case that the vehicle present a problem, the lessee is obligated to promote the vehicle and inform the office immediately, otherwise the lessee will pay the damage.

11. Liability Limitations and Other Terms

11.1 The rental company is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings of the customers left in the vehicle, whether left in the company’s offices before or after the rental.

11.2 The company has taken every precaution to avoid mechanical damage to the vehicle.

11.3 Delivery issues may require cancellation or replacement of the reserved vehicle.

11.4 The company has no obligation to refund money before the end of the rental period.

11.5 Insurance coverage does not apply in cases explicitly excluded under the Greek Road Traffic Code.

11.6 The company has the right to deny the leasing, charging full rental at last minute in case the driver does not have all the needed documents or does not have the proper age or the license has expired.

11.7 In case of “Last minute” technical problems the company has the right to change the vehicle you have selected and to replace it with another vehicle without extra charge or to cancel the reservation or return the money of the booking, always in consultation with the customer.

11.8 The only acceptable method to cancel a reservation through our website is by sending an email and receiving an email from our company that we received the email you sent us. If the reservation is canceled at least 48h before the scheduled start of the rental of the vehicle, the full amount of the rent will be refunded. In case of cancellation which is received less than 48h before the scheduled start of the rental the customer will be charged 50% of booking cost.

IN SOME OF OUR VEHICLES HAS BEEN INSTALLED TRACKING SYSTEM JUST FOR SECURITY REASONS.

Please respect our flexibility and in case of cancellation inform us at least 48h prior to your booking date.

In the event of disagreement between the parties, only the Parian courts will have jurisdiction.

BREAKING OF THE TERMS LEADS TO THE UNILATERAL TERMINATION OF THE CONTACT WITHOUT CLAIMING A REFUND OF MONEY.

The Company will not be responsible for anyone driving under the influence of

alcohol/drugs, driving off road, or driving without care and attention.
